With a career spanning 30 years, Victoria Sarfo is set to hold her first-ever Peace Concert in Kumasi. The purpose of this event is to promote and sustain peace across the country, a vision she shared with the media. She hopes to eventually expand this program to other regions and aims to use this platform to inspire unity among communities.
Victoria Sarfo has also extended an invitation to other Gospel musicians, calling on veteran artists to support the cause and participate in this collective effort for peace. As part of her commitment to inclusivity, she plans to give a blind girl the opportunity to perform at the concert.
Reflecting on her music, Victoria Sarfo noted that her song Mehia Wo Abre Nyinaa, now a classic with nearly hymn-like status, has been remixed three times: the first with Florence Obinnim, Morris Baby Face, and Oware Junior; the second with Sonnie Badu; and the third with Kofi Owusu Peprah, Cynthia, and Piesie Esther.
She expressed gratitude to her mentor, Rev. Yabs, acknowledging that she has learned a lot from him and that he even played a role in her meeting her husband. She also thanked Brother Sammy for his unwavering support and for treating her like a mother.
This upcoming concert will mark her return to the stage after a ten-year break since her last concert.
